I am a Costume Designer, graduated at Accademia Italiana di Arte,Moda e Design of Rome and in 2012 I got a Bachelor in Costume Design (B.A.Hons) from Univeristy of Wales – Prifysgol Cymru. During the academic path I have had the chance to expand my knowledge of the techniques of costume design,theatrical dressmaking, and a deepned knowledge of costume history and historical cut and patterns. My employment history varies from designing costumes for fashion show to working on several theatrical productions in Italy. I have experience as a designer, assistant, dresser and costume maker. I have worked as intern for Tirelli Costumi S.p.A. in Rome, where I have learnt the techniques of fabrics decorations and embroideries, also fabrics agening and dyeing. I have collaborated as intern with important sicilian theatre like Fondazione Teatro Massimo of Palermo and Fondazione Teatro “Luigi Pirandello” of Agrigento. In 2014 I have made costumes for the “O-X-A”, a single act opera, in occasion of the 58° Festival Internazione di Musica Contemporanea at Biennale of Venice. I’ve worked at Atelier Riflessi di Sicilia SCarl Palermo as Costume and Fashion Designer for modern clothes and ballgown for Historical Dance.
In 2016 I move to Malta. I made the costumes for the panto “UN-BELIEVE IT!” and, in 2018 I worked as Costume Designer and Dressmaker for Valletta2018 and the short movie “A Mocking Mile Tale“. In 2019 I worked as Costume Designer and Head of Wardrobe Department for the featured movie “L-Istorbju / Blood on the Crown” and as Costume Wardrobe Cataloguer for Teatru Malta, first national maltese company.
Currently I’m working with local and international productions, as “Ulied il-Lejl“, “Foundation“, “To Catch a Spy” “Fartblinda 2“, “Kasper og Petra” and “Compulsion“.
In 2022 I was nominated at “Malta Film Awards” for “Best Costume Design” category.
In July 2022 I won the “Best Costume Design” Awards at “Mud House Art & Welfare Society” as Winner of the Month.
